"Call Me" is a popular new wave song by the American band Blondie, which was used as the theme song for the 1980 movie American Gigolo. The song was produced and composed by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder, and the lyrics were written by Debbie Harry, the singer of the band Blondie. "Call Me" was released as a single in the United States in early 1980 and quickly rose to the top of the charts, becoming the group's second number one hit in the U.S. and its biggest single to date. The song also topped the charts in the UK and Canada, becoming the group's fourth and second charting song, respectively. In the 1980 year-end charts, it was Billboard's #1 single and RPM. 1 on the Billboard charts and #3 on RPM magazine in Canada. 3 in RPM magazine in Canada.
