The Rolling Stones - Short Biography

The Rolling Stones are an iconic English rock band formed in London in 1962, and are widely regarded as one of the most popular and enduring bands of the rock era. They pioneered the gritty, rhythmic sound that defined hard rock, with their first stable lineup including singer Mick Jagger, multi-instrumentalist Brian Jones, guitarist Keith Richards, bassist Bill Wyman and drummer Charlie Watts. After Andrew Loog Oldham became their manager in 1963, Jagger and Richards became the band's main creative force.
