"Civil War" is a song by the American rock band Guns N' Roses. It was originally released on the 1990 compilation album Nobody's Child: Romanian Angel Appeal, and later appeared on their 1991 album Use Your Illusion II. The song is a protest against war, calling all war "civil war" and highlighting the idea that war only serves to "feed the rich while it buries the poor". Singer Axl Rose challenges the idea of war with the line "what's so civil about war, anyway?".
