- Serge Gainsbourg was a French singer, songwriter, painter, screenwriter, director and actor.
- He was born on April 2, 1928 in Paris and died on March 2, 1991 in the same city.
- Gainsbourg is considered one of the most important French musicians of the 20th century.
- He wrote and recorded more than 550 songs, created numerous film scores and acted in more than 30 films.
- He received the Grand Prix de la Chanson at the Cannes Film Festival in 1984.

- In 1974, Serge Gainsbourg wrote and composed the song "Comme un boomerang".
- The song was originally rejected by Antenne 2, the broadcaster of the Eurovision Song Contest, because of certain passages in the lyrics that were considered aggressive, provocative and sexual.
- The song was finally performed by Dani at the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Sweden.
- Dani had initially offered to sing another Serge Gainsbourg song, but it was rejected because of its sexually explicit lyrics.
- Dani then competed with the song "Paris Paradis" and placed fourth.
