"Country Road" is a popular song by American singer-songwriter James Taylor, released in February 1971 by Warner Bros. Records. It is the third single from his second studio album, Sweet Baby James. The song has been a staple of Taylor's live shows since 1970 and is also featured on his 1976 Best Of album. The album version of the song is performed on bass by Randy Meisner, who would later become a member of the Eagles.
