- Maceo Parker is an American funk and soul jazz saxophonist.

- He is best known for his work with James Brown in the 1960s and Parliament-Funkadelic in the 1970s.

- He played a key role in James Brown's band, playing alto, tenor and baritone saxophones.

- He also worked with Prince in the 2000s and has toured under his own name since the early 1990s.

- Parker was a featured soloist on many of Brown's hit recordings.
