The protagonist remembers growing up in a house where his stepfather would abuse his mother. As a child he discovered music and learned how to use the volume knob. Later on, at 17 years old, he falls in love with someone who unfortunately becomes sick and he doesn't know what to do. He goes down a path that he knows will never end well, but he doesn't want to be alone. Throughout all of this, he finds solace in dance music.
