"Dim All the Lights" is a popular song by Donna Summer, a famous American artist. It was released in 1979 as the third single from her album "Bad Girls". The song debuted at number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 on August 25, 1979 and reached number two on November 10 and 17 of the same year. Although it was prevented from becoming the album's third hit, first by the Eagles' "Heartache Tonight" for a week and then by the Commodores' "Still" the following week, it still managed to top the chart. Produced by her longtime collaborator Giorgio Moroder with Pete Bellotte, the track combines Summer's signature disco beats with a more soulful pop sound. It is the third single from the album to reach the top two spots on the Hot 100 and its sixth consecutive single to reach the top five spots on the Hot 100.
