Black Eyed Peas is an American musical group from Los Angeles formed in 1995, and composed of three rappers. Fergie replaced Kim Hill in the group in 2002. Initially an alternative hip-hop group, they turned into a pop-rap group. It wasn't until their third album, "Elephunk", in 2003, that they reached record sales.

"Don't Phunk with My Heart" is a hip-hop song recorded by American band The Black Eyed Peas for their fourth studio album, Monkey Business, released in 2005. The song was written by band members Will.i.am and Fergie, as well as Printz Board, George Pajon Jr and Full Force, while Will.i.am also produced and engineered it. The song's lyrics describe a situation where one member of a couple is trying to end their relationship, but the other is not buying it. The song features samples from 1970s Bollywood films, as well as interpolations of Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam's 1985 single "I Wonder If I Take You Home" and Gucci Crew II's 1988 single "Sally."
