They saw that the drug addict had been killed and a little girl had been shot by a stray bullet. The protagonist tried to help the girl but felt angry that no one else seemed to care. The media came to report on the incident, but it was just a story to them. In the end, the protagonist decided they wouldn't go back to the diner because of what happened that night. They wiped away their tears and left, never forgetting the tragic event at Dopefiend's Diner.
