Beats International is a British dance music group and hip-hop collective formed by Norman Cook in the late 1980s. Prior to forming the group, Cook was a member of Housemartins. The group was based in Brighton, East Sussex, England, where they produced electrifying music for a few years before disbanding.

The single was first released on January 24, 1990, on the band's debut album, "Let Them Eat Bingo". The song contains samples of "The Guns of Brixton" by The Clash, Ennio Morricone's "Once Upon a Time in the West" and Johnny Dynell's "Jam Hot".
