In the second part, the protagonist and his partner have not spoken in a long time, and although he is no longer interested in her romantically, he still thinks about her. He wonders why he is bothered by her being with someone else and tries to distract himself. When he finally speaks to her, they both acknowledge that their relationship was special and that they will always be a part of each other.
