Black Box - Short Biography

Black Box was an Italian house music group formed in 1989, consisting of three members: Daniele Davoli, Mirko Limoni and Valerio Semplici. The band became internationally known with their first single, "Ride on Time", which became a huge hit in 1989 and topped the UK Singles Chart. This track was sung by Heather Small, who would later become the lead singer of M People. The band released their first album, "Dreamland", in 1990, which produced several hits, including "Everybody Everybody" and "Fantasy". Their music incorporated elements of disco, funk and soul, and their catchy melodies and infectious rhythms made them a fixture in dance clubs around the world. The group disbanded in the mid-1990s.

Although American singer Martha Wash provided uncredited vocals for the song, French model Katrin Quinol was credited as the singer, which led to a lawsuit filed by Wash against the band. The song was written by Daniele Davoli, Mirko Limoni and Valerio Semplici and produced by Groove Groove Melody. It is the third single from the album "Dreamland" published by RCA Records. The song combines elements of house, pop and Eurodisco and features organ, drums, brass and strings.
