"Get Here" is a pop ballad written by American singer and songwriter Brenda Russell. Originally released as the title track of her fourth studio album in 1988, the song became a bit of a hit on the Billboard R&B chart after the success of the album's first hit, "Piano in the Dark." However, it was American singer Oleta Adams who propelled the song to worldwide fame with her 1990 cover. Co-produced by Roland Orzabal of Tears for Fears, Adams' version reached the top 5 of the US and UK charts, and became her signature song.
