- It samples "Ike's Rap II" by Isaac Hayes.
- Music writer James Masterton said in his weekly UK chart commentary that "Glory Box" "is without doubt one of the most glamorous indie records to come out in a long time."
- A Music and Media reviewer commented, "Put the late Papa John Creach's fiddle on it, and you've got the Jefferson Airplane of the 90s. Based on a sample of Isaac Hayes' Isaac Moods, it's a danceable thriller.
