The Beach Boys - Short Biography

The Beach Boys are an American rock band that formed in 1961 in Hawthorne, California. The original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love and their friend Al Jardine. The band is known for its vocal harmonies, teenage-themed lyrics and musical ingenuity. They are one of the most influential bands of the rock era, and one of the few American rock bands to have maintained its commercial position during the British Invasion. From the beginning, Brian Wilson was the band's composer, arranger, producer and de facto leader.

"Hawaii" is a popular song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American rock band The Beach Boys. The song was recorded in July 1963 and was released on the album Surfer Girl. Although regular drummer Dennis Wilson participated in the recording, it was also one of the first Beach Boys songs on which Hal Blaine played, bringing timpani. The song was released as a single in Australia in January 1964 and reached the top 10.
