The song "Head Games" is the title track of the third studio album by the British-American rock band Foreigner. The album was released on September 10, 1979 by Atlantic Records. The album was recorded at Atlantic Studios in New York, with additional recording and mixing taking place at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles. This is the only album the band co-produced with Roy Thomas Baker, known for his work on classic Queen albums. It marks the first appearance of new bassist Rick Wills, who replaced Ed Gagliardi. Unfortunately, it is also the last album of founding members Ian McDonald and Al Greenwood, who left the band after the recording. "Head Games" is also notable for being the last Foreigner album to be sung by guitarist Mick Jones.
