🎶 Honky Tonk Woman song analysis
The protagonist sings about three different women he has encountered in different cities. He met a woman in Memphis who tried to take him to bed but he couldn't stop thinking about her. He also had a physical encounter with a divorcee in New York City who blew his mind, and lastly, he strolled naked in Paris where the sailors were charming but couldn't stop thinking about the women from previous cities. All these women, referred to as honky tonk women, give him the honky tonk blues.
