David Guetta is an indisputable heavyweight in the world of electronic music. Born in France in 1967, the award-winning DJ and producer got his start DJ-ing and promoting his own club nights around the country in the late 1980s. After achieving a small hit with the track “Up and Away” featuring Robert Owens, Guetta went on to form Gum Productions in 2001 and released a string of successful singles and remixes, including a popular electro-clash version of David Bowie's “Heroes.” His 2006 mash-up of “Love Don't Let Me Go” and The Egg's “Walking Away” was a major hit in the UK, paving the way for his fourth album One Love (2007). The record spawned chart-topping singles “When Love Takes Over” and “Sexy Bitch/Sexy Chick” and cemented his status as an international superstar. His 2009 production of The Black Eyed Peas' “I Gotta Feeling” made him the most downloaded artist in history and earned him a Grammy nomination. Throughout the 2010s, Guetta continued to tour and collaborate with some of the biggest names in music, before releasing his sixth and seventh albums, Listen and 7, in 2014 and 2018 respectively. In 2021, he collaborated with Danish DJ Morten on the EP New Rave and released a remix of One Love's “Memories” that broke into the German Top 100. Now one of the most in-demand DJs in the world, David Guetta continues to bring his unique sound to the masses.
