🎶 I’m Not That Way Anymore song analysis
The song is about a man who was wild and carefree in his youth - he went out every Saturday night, tried to impress the girls and played a lot. He also listened to a lot of old music shows and dressed differently. Today he has changed, he doesn't do that kind of stuff anymore and he is happy with who he has become. The song is about embracing change and moving on from your past, and that it's okay to be different from who you were before.

The song "I'm not That Way Anymore" is an A-side from the band Alabama. But it was the B-side that was the most successful. "If You're Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band)" became a popular country music song written by Murry Kellum and Dan Mitchell. The song was recorded by the American band Alabama and was released in July 1984 as the B-side of their third single from the album "Roll On". Although "I'm Not That Way Anymore" was the A-side, radio programmers preferred the B-side and the song became Alabama's fourteenth consecutive number one single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles.
