Sade - Short Biography

- Helen Folasade Adu CBE, known professionally as Sade Adu, is a British singer of Nigerian origin, known as the lead singer of her eponymous band.

- She studied at Saint Martins School of Art in London and made a name for herself as a fashion designer and part-time model before joining the band Pride.

- Her band Sade released their first album Diamond Life in 1984, which became one of the best-selling albums of the time.

- The band took a break after the birth of Sade's child, and released their fourth album, Love Deluxe, in 1992.

- They reformed in 1999 and released Lovers Rock in 2000. The band has released two songs since their third break in 2010.
