Queen - Short Biography

Christine and the Queens is a French singer and songwriter born and raised in Nantes who began learning the piano at the age of four and was inspired by one of the clubs in London while studying. Her debut album, Chaleur humaine (2014), was critically acclaimed, reaching number two on the French and British charts and certified diamond in France. In 2018, she released her second album, Chris, again to very positive reviews. In 2016, she was ranked #1 on the Vanity Fair list of the most influential French personalities. Forbes also placed her on its list of the 30 most talented and influential people under 30.

- Written by guitarist Brian May, it is the opening track of the band's self-titled debut album (1973).

- It was released as Queen's first single with "Son and Daughter" as the B-side.

- Keep Yourself Alive" was largely ignored upon its release and failed to chart on both sides of the Atlantic.

- It was also re-released as the B-side of "Lily of the Valley" in 1974.
