Kaoma - Short Biography

- Kaoma is a French-Brazilian band formed in 1988.
- The group was composed of Loalwa Braz, Chyco Dru (bass), Jacky Arconte (guitar), Jean-Claude Bonaventure (keyboard), Michel Abihssira and Fania.
- Dru is originally from Martinique, Arconte from Guadeloupe and Braz from Brazil.
- The group had a successful career, with their 1991 single "Lambada" topping the charts in several countries.
- Kaoma disbanded in 1996, but Loalwa Braz continued a solo career until his death in 2019.
