Nino Ferrer - Short Biography

- Nino Ferrer is a French singer, songwriter and actor of Italian origin.
- He came to France after World War II and studied archaeology while playing the double bass in an amateur jazz band.
- After finishing his studies, he took a few years to try to break into music.
- He finally found success in 1966 with "Mirza", a humorous song about a man who loses his dog and looks for it everywhere.
- He then had a string of successes, exploiting the same comical vein.
- But this much hoped-for success does not fully satisfy him: he does not want to be associated with the yé-yé wave that he despises, and on the way to exile, he does not want to commit himself to success.
