- Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine was born on July 21, 1948 in Dole, France.
- He is a French author, composer and performer.
- He was revealed in 1978 by his first studio album, Tout corps vivant branché sur le secteur étant appelé à s'émouvoir.
- In 2011, he won two Victoires de la Musique awards for his album Suppléments de mensonge.
- He is also a commander of the Order of Arts and Letters.

- "Les Dingues et les Paumés" is a song by Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine released in 1982 on the album Soleil cherche futur.
- The song has become an emblematic song of Thiéfaine, appearing on all of his live albums and compilations (except for En concert vol.2).
- The song refers to many authors (Baudelaire, Lautréamont, Hölderlin).
- The themes addressed are typical of Thiéfaine's lyricism: madness, with drug use as a backdrop. The allegorical texts evoke numerous symbols or sub-themes: hallucinatory psychosis, drug use, solitude and psychonautism, always tinged with references to Christian culture.
