- "Lonely Day" is a song by the American rock band System of a Down.
- It is the second single from their album Hypnotize, released on November 22, 2005.
- The song was written by the band's singer and guitarist, Daron Malakian, and published by Sony BMG.
- It was nominated for a 49th Grammy Award in the category of Best Hard Rock Performance.
- The song's chorus features the use of a double superlative ("The most loneliest day of my life").
- The video for the song also contains a very unique reference. At the 47th second, a careful observer will notice that in the reflection of the window appears a reference to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here album, as two men shake hands in the flames.
- The song is used in the movie Paranoiak.
- However, contrary to popular rumor, this song is not dedicated to Daron's brother, as he is an only child.
