Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1994, originally under the name Kara's Flowers. The band's lineup consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, and keyboardist PJ Morton. Their first album, "Songs About Jane," was released in 2002 under the name Maroon 5 and was a commercial success, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. The album's hit singles, "Harder to Breathe," "This Love," and "She Will Be Loved," helped establish the band as one of the biggest pop rock acts of the 2000s.
