The song is about the love for their country during different seasons. During Christmas, they light up a star in the tree and sing praises for their country. During spring, they sing more praises as birds chirp and flowers bloom. However, during midsummer, they love their country the most because the blessings of the sky and the abundance of flowers and cattle make them happy. They dance and celebrate midsummer on the command of Saint Hans, and they vow to protect their country from enemies and witchcraft in order to achieve peace.
