The track, about paranoia and depression, was written by rapper Bushwick Bill, inspired by his own experience with mental illness. The song, produced by DJ Ready Red, became a hit by reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100, was certified gold in 1992 and was included on several of the group's compilations, including Greatest Hits (1996) and The Best of Geto Boys (2003).
