At a bar called Billy Bob's, he asks a girl to dance and tells her he knows the color of her underwear by looking at their reflection in his new boots. He does this with another girl later on and tells her the color as well. The second girl tells him she's not wearing any underwear, and the protagonist is relieved because he thought he had a crack in his new boots.
