The protagonist is singing about how everything he knows and loves will be destroyed and buried in mass graves. He sees that the land where he was born will become an ocean and all the beautiful things in it will be gone. He believes that divine intervention is needed and that only one achievement of man will survive the destruction. The rain will then fall and fill the dried land.
