Paula Abdul - Short Biography

Paula Abdul is a multi-talented American artist, known for her talents as a singer, dancer, choreographer, actress and television personality. She began her career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers and became the head choreographer for the Laker Girls, before being discovered by the Jacksons and working as a choreographer for Janet Jackson's music videos. In 1988, she released her first studio album, Forever Your Girl, which sold seven million copies in the U.S., setting a record with four number one singles. Her six number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 tied her with Ariana Grande and Diana Ross as the seventh highest charting female solo artist.

Written and produced by Oliver Leiber, the song features vocals by Bruce Deshazer and Marv Gunn, also known as Wild Pair. The theme of the song is about a couple who love each other despite their many differences.
