Kelly, with vocal production by Trixster and Penelope Magnet. The song was released on July 13, 2004 on Jive Records as the fourth and final single from In the Zone. "Outrageous" was the record company's choice for the first or second single, but Spears pushed for "Me Against the Music" and "Toxic" respectively, to be released instead. The song was finally announced as a single after being chosen as the theme song for the 2004 film Catwoman. "Outrageous" is a hip-hop and R&B song with an exotic feel. The song is about materialism and entertainment. Reviews have been mixed, with some praising its funky sound and others finding it uninteresting.
