- France Gall is a French singer, born on October 9, 1947 in Paris and died on January 7, 2018 in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

- She began singing and making music with her brothers as a child before recording her first album.

- In 1965, she won the first prize as a Luxembourg candidate in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Poupée de cire, poupée de son", written and composed by Serge Gainsbourg.

- This song was translated into many languages and France Gall became famous in Europe, especially in Germany, where she was very popular in the early 1970s.

- Her popularity then fades in France until she meets the songwriter Michel Berger
