Alabama - Short Biography

Alabama is an American country music group, first formed under the name Wildcountry. The band was formed in the state of Alabama in 1969 by Randy Owen and his cousin Teddy Gentry. Later, another cousin, Jeff Cook, joined the duo. In 1977, the group was renamed Alabama. The group had its greatest success in the 1980s, with over 25 number ones on the charts. Their first hit single on RCA Records was "Tennessee River".

"Reckless" is a country music song written by Michael Clark and Jeff Stevens, and recorded by the American country music group Alabama. It was the first single from the album Cheap Seats, released in August 1993. The song was their last number one hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks until June 2011, when they again achieved the feat with a guest vocal on Brad Paisley's "Old Alabama".
