- Brenda Lee was born Brenda Mae Tarpley on December 11, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia.

- Known professionally as Brenda Lee, she is an American singer who performed rockabilly, pop and country songs.
In the 1960s, she had 47 hits in the American charts, which placed her at number four for that decade.

- In 1957, she earned the nickname "Little Miss Dynamite" after recording the song "Dynamite" when she was 12 years old.

- In 1969, she returned to the charts with her recording "Johnny One Time."

- Lee has sold over 100 million records worldwide and is a member of the Rock and Roll, Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame.
