He calls the sheriff and asks him to bring his wife a gun, but doesn't want her to hurt him because she's just having fun. Then he goes to a doctor to get some help, but even though the doctor tries his best, the devil ignores him and the protagonist still can't feel his soul. In the end, he realizes that his heart is in his partner's hands, but he still can't feel his soul.
