🎶 Shame song analysis
The song is about a person reflecting on a past relationship that didn't work out, and how both parties contributed to the breakup. The protagonist regrets not listening to his partner, pushing her away and even humiliating her in public. He realizes that they both had different perspectives on what happened, but in the end, it's a shame that they couldn't work things out and that people often go through life repeating the same mistakes in their relationships.

"Shame" is a pop song written and recorded by English singers Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow for Williams' second greatest hits compilation album, "In and Out of Consciousness: Greatest Hits 1990-2010," released in 2010. Produced by Trevor Horn, the song marks the first collaboration between Williams and Barlow since Williams left Take That in 1995. It is a folk-influenced pop song with an acoustic guitar part similar to the Beatles' 1968 song "Blackbird." The lyrics are about the singers' broken relationship and their hope to fix things.
