- "Shivers" is a song by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, released by Asylum Records UK on September 10, 2021 as the second single from his fifth studio album, = (2021).
- The song debuted at number one on the singles chart in the UK and Ireland, dethroning Sheeran's previous single, "Bad Habits," after eleven consecutive weeks at the top in both countries.
- The song also topped the charts in Austria, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland, and reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
- Sheeran referenced the song in explaining why the album title was = instead of - (as fans had assumed). He said, "While I was making the album, I wrote a song called 'Shivers' and I thought, 'That doesn't really sound like [Less]'."
- Sheeran wrote "Shivers" at the end of the Divide Tour, when he set up a studio in a rented farmhouse in Suffolk where his last tour date was. It took him 3 days to write the song, which was unusually long for him, as he felt the song "was too special to go wrong".
- On August 19, 2021, Sheeran announced his fourth studio album, =, in which the song appears in the track listing. He then announced the song's cover art and release date of September 2, 2021. He also revealed that "Shivers" was originally intended to be the first single from the album instead of the current first single, "Bad Habits".
