"Show Me Heaven" is a power ballad written by Maria McKee, Eric Rackin and Jay Rifkin, and recorded by McKee for the soundtrack of the Tom Cruise movie, Days of Thunder. Produced by Peter Asher, the song was well received by most music critics and became a worldwide hit, topping the charts in several countries, including the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway. The song remained at number one on the UK Singles Chart for four weeks and became the sixth best-selling single of 1990 in the UK. Since its release, the song has been covered by many other artists, including Tina Arena.
