- "Soca Dance" is a song from 1990 by the Barbadian artist Charles D. Lewis.
- It is from the album Do You Feel It and became one of the hits of the summer of 1990, especially in France and Belgium, thanks to TF1 who wanted to reedit the success of Lambada (1989).
- The story of Soca Dance took two months to unfold. First, the contract of the artist with Baxter Music is signed. Then, the signatures with Polygram for distribution, currently Universal Music and another contract linking Baxter Music to TF1, represented by Dominique Cantien. These operations were orchestrated by the producer Gérard Louvin and Dominique Rousseau, then label manager of Baxter Music. Things went very fast. The recruitment of the English choreographer Andy Shaft, then a casting of dancers organized by Roberto Vannucci for the shooting of the clip, the promo and the tour. The mixing and the mastering of the title were realized by Livio Conenna and the cover was entrusted to Lionel Gédébé. The video was shot in Trinidad and Tobago and produced by Turtles productions.
