"Something" is a song by The Beatles released in 1969 on the album Abbey Road. The song was written by George Harrison, who considered it one of his best compositions. Although Harrison was the main writer of the song, John Lennon and Paul McCartney contributed to its development.

The song was recorded in May 1969 and was originally intended for the album Get Back, which was to be the Beatles' next album. However, plans for that album were scrapped and "Something" was eventually included on Abbey Road.

"Something" is a love song that features Harrison declaring his love for a woman. The song's lyrics were written in collaboration with Lennon and McCartney, who helped Harrison refine them. Harrison has stated that the song's lyrics were inspired in part by the poetry of James Merrill.

The song was a commercial success, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and number one on the U.K. singles chart. "Something" was the first Beatles single to be composed entirely by Harrison. It is also the most frequently covered Beatles song by other artists. In 2002, the song was ranked number 36 of the best songs of all time by the readers of Rolling Stone.
