🎶 Soul Serenade song analysis
This song is about the serenade of the protagonist's soul, which is like her inner song that only she and her partner can hear. When her partner is not around, the song seems lonely. Although others may admire her, their admiration quickly becomes boring to her. She states that only her partner truly knows her soul and that their love is unique and precious.

"Soul Serenade" is a track from "I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You," the tenth studio album by American singer Aretha Franklin, released on March 10, 1967 by Atlantic Records. This album marked a significant commercial breakthrough for Franklin, as it became her first top ten album in the United States, reaching number two on the Billboard 200. Following her departure from Columbia Records after nine unsuccessful jazz standards albums, Franklin released her first album under her Atlantic Records contract, which included the hits "Respect" and "I Never Loved a Man." While "Respect" topped the Billboard Hot 100, "I Never Loved a Man" also reached the top 10.
