"My Girl" is a soul music classic recorded by the Temptations for the Gordy (Motown) label. It was written and produced by Smokey Robinson and Ronald White of the Miracles and became the group's first number one single in the United States. This timeless track is currently considered the Temptations' signature song. The inspiration for "My Girl" came from Smokey Robinson's wife, Claudette Rogers Robinson, who was a member of The Miracles. The song appears on the Temptations' 1965 album "The Temptations Sing Smokey".
