Suspicious Minds is a song written by Mark James and performed by Elvis Presley. It was first released in 1968 and became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in the United States and Canada. The song was written while James was employed as a pianist at a Memphis hotel, the Hilton International. It was later recorded by Elvis Presley in 1969 and featured on his album From Elvis in Memphis. The song was one of the last to be recorded for the album and was produced by Chips Moman.
