The meaning of the song 'Takeover ', based on the lyrics
What is Takeover about?
🎶 Takeover song analysis
The protagonist of the song is a rapper who is part of a collective, "Roc-A-Fella," that rules the rap scene. He warns other rappers who don't have the same level of skill and experience as he and his collective, and that if they try to challenge him, they will be "encased in plastic." He also goes after fellow rapper Nas, saying that his career has been in free fall since the release of his album "Illmatic" and that he should change his flow and respect the king. The protagonist tells Nas and other rappers that he has the experience and skills to back up his lyrics, and that they should stay away or suffer the consequences.
