The lyrics tell the story of a famous pirate named Blackbeard who lived in 1718. He was very strong and traveled on the ocean, but the people who worked for the queen were always trying to catch him. One day, they surprised him while he was drinking rum and started to fight him with their ships and guns. Blackbeard was not scared and took a drink of grog, saying that it would take more than that to stop him. He knew he would have to fight in a foreign land, and he had a feeling it would be his last battle. Before he fought, he looked at the pirate flag and said some words. He was a pirate king, and he wanted everyone to know it. He had been searching for a magic spell and found a Voodoo Queen who could help him. He knew his time was running out and that he would soon die. But, he believed that when he died, he would come back to life as a pirate ghost and become the king of zombies. The people who tried to catch him killed him on a beach, but he rose from the dead as a ghost and continued to be a pirate. He would shoot people in the head because he was a ghost pirate and that's what he did.
