So the seal decided to stay on land with her, even though it would cost him his life. The daughter came up with a plan to help them be together by asking her grandmother for a magic seal coat that would allow her to become a seal. They found the coat, the daughter put it on, and they both went into the ocean together as a seal bride and a seal husband.
