Indochine is a French pop rock band formed in 1981 by Nicola Sirkis and Dominique Nicolas. The band had a great success with songs like L'Aventurier, Trois nuits par semaine, 3e sexe, Tes yeux noirs and Canary Bay in the 1980s. In 2002, the group returned to success with the album Paradize and the single J'ai demandé à la lune. In 2017, their album 13 sold nearly 900,000 copies in France. The group is also the French artist with the most records sold behind Johnny Halliday. In 2011, Indochine received a Victoire d'honneur at the Victoires de la musique and in 2017, an Award d'honneur at the NRJ Music Awards to cap off their 36-year career. On May 26, 2020, Indochine announced a tour in five French stadiums to celebrate the group's fortieth anniversary. In 2022, the group broke the record of spectators present in the stadium (97 036 people present). In June 2022, according to a survey by the polling institute YouGov and the music website RIFFX of Crédit Mutuel, Indochine came in third place in the ranking of favorite artists of the French.
