The protagonist realizes that the world is full of people who can't admit when they are wrong. She writes a song to try and change people's perspectives, but she sees that she has to fake a smile in front of them. She wonders if her partner is worried about growing up in a world that is not fun, where people judge others and act before thinking. She sees herself in the mirror and feels sad because she herself is a part of this problematic world. But she tells her partner to turn around and walk away from this negativity, even though it may be difficult. The protagonist warns her partner about the consequences of getting caught up in this world, but ultimately, it's up to him to make the decision to walk away.
